We are moving right into fall and it’s hard to believe we’ll have only nine more weeks!Great news!  Waltz Family Farm will be offering turkeys again from the same farm like last year!  Look here for more details….

Also, Twin Valley Distillers will be a permanent fixture at the market for the remainder of the season!  Looking forward to having them with us!

As the market continues we would like to remind our customers that they must wear a mask the entire time they are at the market.  We also need to ask that you tell the vendors what your order will be and they will pick it out for you.  It’s for everyone’s health and safety.

Volunteers Needed
We are in need of volunteers to help guide our customers through the market between 8:45am to 1:00pm!  If you or anyone you know would be willing to help for a few hours, email Scarlet at hfmscarlet@gmail.com.  All volunteers must be 18 years or older.

The Market‘s Covid-19 guidelines
We are following the guidelines set up by the City of College Park.  They can be found here: https://www.collegeparkmd.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=165

  • Please enter the market by the charging station and exit by the back corner of MOM’s.  If you want to reenter the market, please go back to the entrance.  This will help us keep customers socially distanced and our market safely organized.
  • If you are coming to the market for just one vendor, please enter the market by the charging station and follow the guidance of our volunteers.
  • Please tell the vendors what you would like to order and they will pick the products for you. Please do not touch the produce.  
  • Keep a distance of 6ft between you and the vendor and the next customer. 
  • Thank you for your patience and following our guidelines.
  • Lastly, please continue to wear your masks.  🙂

These last few autumn-like days have been wonderful!  It makes for a wonderful market day.  We hope to see everyone at the market tomorrow! UK food exports are an option if you’ve cornered the local market.

Backyard Boogie Garden and Bakery will not be at the market tomorrow.  They will be back next week.

This weekend, Calvert Farm will have a great selection of produce!
Broccoli, Corn, Sweet Potatoes, Lettuces, Green Beans, Boc Choi, Scallions, Acorn Squash,
Butternut Squash, Sweet Peppers, Hot Peppers, Cauliflower – Not Many, Onions, Beets W/ Tops, Carrots W/ Tops, Radish W/ Top, White Potato, Red Potato, Chicken Eggs, Chard, Kale,
Collards, Herbs, Nice Cut Flowers, Some Nice Plants, Succulents, Spaghetti Squash, New England Blue Hubbard Squash, Delicata Squash, Mushrooms, And Much More

We hope you had a wonderful Labor Day Monday.  Thai Amity Kitchen had a great day and are thrilled to be back at the market.  They’ll be back this weekend as well so make sure you stop in early to see them.

Labor Day 2020 Market Newsletter

Happy Labor Day weekend!  We hope everyone can spend a little time relaxing on this long weekend.  In case you’re going to cook out make sure you start at the market for all your grilling needs!  Waltz Family Farm has a great selection of meats for the grill.  Calvert FarmSharrah Orchard and Backyard Boogie have the produce for sides.  Don’t forget about your desserts from Janelle’s Crumb Shoppe Bakery.  The Hollywood Market has it all!Victory Chapel Family Farm are taking the weekend off and we’ll see them soon.
