We are changing things up a bit.  Part three

We’re hoping there will be a time where we aren’t still changing things around.  But stay with us as we move vendors to shaded areas.  Sugar Plug is moving from next to Alcoba Coffee to between Artemiya and Hilary Beall Studio Artist.  Silver Mapleyard Farm will now be next to Alcoba Coffee.

Community Planners from the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning will join us again this Saturday.
Welcome back Sheree Harvest.

Happy 250 America!

We are changing things up a bit.  Part two

Has anyone noticed it’s a bit hot outside?  Well, to keep our vendors from over heating, we are going to be open from 10-1 tomorrow.  Close before the heat really sets in.  Some of our vendors are taking the weekend off for the holiday and others are staying home due to the heat.  But we’ll be there.
With some of our vendors out for the holiday, we’ve moved the majority to under the shade.  Don’t see a vendor your looking for?  Check with the market staff and they’ll help you out.

The Master Gardener will be at the market this weekend!
The University of Maryland Extension “Ask A Master Gardener” Plant Clinic is a free, walk-up information booth where trained Master Gardener volunteers answer home gardening questions and provide research-based advice on plants, insects, diseases, lawns, and sustainable practices throughout the growing season. Community members are invited to bring plant samples or photos for identification and diagnosis, and volunteers share recommendations and printed resources tailored to Maryland conditions, including guidance on native plants, pollinators, and Bay-friendly gardening.

We are changing things up a bit.

You’ll notice the musician is in the location of where Shmidt Spirits has been in the past.  Have no fear- Shmidt is still at the market.  They just moved between Ad Astra and Honey Glow.  Same great service, just a new location.
Speaking of…
Honey Glow is buzzing over to a new corner spot at the Hollywood Farmers Market! Starting this weekend, you’ll find them right across from the music and next to Shmidt Spirits. Follow the buzz, stop by for local honey, beeswax candles, plants, and handmade goodies — and after a taste of spirits, come enjoy a sweet little taste of honey. Since they are across the music now, you might even catch them doing the honeybee waggle dance – come on in and join us for a dance party. They can’t wait to see you in their new spot at the market!

LuMa Bagels will be back next week.  Our baker is under the weather and out of precaution she is taking the week off.

Now a message from Door by Door Wreaths
Door by Door Wreaths is in full Spring/Summer, and this weekend in Patriotic mode! Their mission is to create a warm, welcoming design to decorate each door in College Park and beyond. Mention 25 and receive 25% off each red, white, and blue wreath.

Sheree Harvest is back this week!  Make sure you stop by their table to sample some locally made wine.

Thank you to all who joined us for Trolley Trail Day last weekend!

We are looking forward to another great market weekend.  McCleaf’s Orchard brought blueberries, strawberries and blackberries last week.  We can’t wait to see what they have this week.
Just a reminder- Father’s Day is this Sunday.  Treat dad to a perfect home cooked meal.  With produce from McCleaf’s, Blue Berwyn, and Ad Astra you could make the perfect sides.  Meats from Waltz Family Farm are perfect for the grill.  Ask farmer Laurie and she’s happy to help.  Top the dinner off with a sweet treat from Sugar Plug and a nice cup of coffee from Alcoba Coffee.  While your at the market picking up the food for Sunday, you can treat yourself to lunch from Thai Amity Kitchen and Pupuseria El Solecito.

Please welcome Bee City to the market this weekend!
The Bee City Committee’s mission is to help the College Park community preserve the future of urban pollinator populations. The third week in June is Pollinator Week, an annual international celebration that brings awareness to bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other wildlife that sustain global food supplies and ecosystems. At the Bee City Committee’s table this Saturday June 20, you can find plenty of educational materials and pick up free native plants for outdoor gardens, including brown-eyed susan (Rudbeckia triloba) and beardtongues (Penstemon spp.). For children, you can stop by the table and get a free coloring book X Kids and the Incredible Invertebrates. Learn more here – https://www.collegeparkmd.gov/322/Insects-Pollinators

Celebrate Pollinator Month with Honey Glow!

June is Pollinator Month, and we’re celebrating the bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators that help fill our gardens and our tables.

To encourage more pollinator-friendly gardens in our community, Honey Glow is offering all vegetable and annual flower plants for just $2 each and a discount on perennials at the Hollywood Farmers Market on June 6th.

Whether you’re planting peppers for summer harvests, flowers for cutting bouquets, or blooms that provide food for pollinators, every plant helps create a healthier and more beautiful environment. Join us in supporting the pollinators that make so much of our food possible while bringing fresh vegetables and colorful flowers to your own backyard.

Plant for the pollinators. Harvest for your table and follow the bees to Honey Glow!

This Saturday our newest vendor will join the market!
LuMa Bagels is the brainchild of two friends, one of whom was furloughed from her career in international development. Taking the opportunity to dedicate their energy elsewhere, they steered it towards their love of sourdough and baking and thus LuMa was started. In addition to bagels, they also make creative schmears using local ingredients from farmers and other small businesses to bring you the best of local flavor. Come check them out and the other baked offerings (such as the wonderful focaccia!).

Sugar Plug will not be at the market this weekend.  We’ll see them back next week.

Trolley Trail Day is June 13, 2026.  The farmers market is a stop on the trail. A great place to start or end your bike ride along the trial.  We’ll have face painting for the day.

Come by the market between 10am and 2pm.  We’d love to see you!
